Picnic was great! had a lot of fun. Thanks to Cosplay Zone and SunaCosu!! hope we can do another one sometime! ^_^ and thanks to everyone that came!

For those of you who are curious about the media that was taken at the picnic. It is still in the works. I've got almost everything edited, but I am still waiting on some recently purchased equipment to arrive. Since this is mainly practice for what's to come later...I want to do it right. It will be hosted, but again, that's a secret :ohmy:

The lighting and chroma-key screen that was purchased can/will be used at Anime Kaigi. I know that there were a lot of photographers that were disappointed at AniZona because they didn't have a green screen there (due to it being damaged). This will be one of those 'extras' provided by Pyroguy Productions ;)

we're going to have a green screen at the con? i dont think i've ever seen that.

Portraiture photographers usually will have a backdrop that is like a bluish or grey color...something non-distracting. For events like this, typically they want a solid background so they can edit it out easily and put their own background in the photo (not like the 'black curtain' dividers they had at Anime Vegas either). Unfortunately, I don't have the softbox lights or the ones with the reflective umbrellas (forget the name)...but this should be better than nothing. Still have no clue where I would set it up at, but I'm sure that they have enough places that are not in high traffic areas.

I just tested the lights for the chroma-key that I'll be using soon (for the upcoming video). I think I temporarily blinded myself (j/k). These lights though state that you should not stand in front of them for any length of time due to UV radiation (i.e. sunburn risk) :ohmy: ....yeeeahhh...I'm glad I'm only using them for lighting the backdrop.

... Well, you could then hand out T-shirts that say, "I got burned by Pyroguy Productions!" ...

We plan to have a photo room, but it will be time-shared as also the autograph room. Basically, we'll be kicking out all the people getting photos while autograph sessions are going on... or just limiting the number of people that will be allowed in the photo area during these times.

Just got back from filming for the hosting of the picnic video. Everything turned out well! Tomarrow when I get off work, I'll start editing the last of what I have. If everything goes well, the video should be done sometime next week!



Just a reminder to those that were unaware. The reason it's taken almost a month to get this video done, is mainly because I wanted to create something for the video (the hosting part) out of nothing...and had no equipment to do so. Now that I have all the things I'll need for future videos, they shouldn't take near as long in the future. ;)

The video is complete! (finally) I now just have to split it to reduce the size (cause of YouTube) and then upload it...I'll most likely have 2 versions in the future (download and streaming). The origional is just over 5gb cause of it's quality (15 mins long). I'll let everyone know when and where they can watch it...should be by Saturday!

Any other picnics planned between now and the convention in June?
